Open the cross-country ski season October 13 with the Nordic Ski Club of Milwaukee ski-trip signup meeting (see story on ski trips). But don't leave hiking behind. There's still plenty of good hiking weather. Hear about hiking Wisconsin's Ice Age Trail from club members who've done it.

Link up with friends or make new friends to hike or ski with. The club also will provide free sandwiches (if you sign up in advance).
